Flash based animations

DEC 20 2009

I’ve been meaning to post these for quite some time now but it’s slipped my mind along with many other things as of late so here they are for your viewing pleasure (or displeasure). If they play slow lower the quality.

Note: I havn’t figured out how to create loaders in ActionScript 2.0 or 3.0 yet so wait a bit before hitting play

Advanced Digital Imaging: Final Animation

This is my final for my Advanced Digital Imaging class (technically they should have just called it Flash..) during my 3rd term. My theme was on a microscopic level, the ‘monster’ is a Water Bear which is an interesting animal if you look it up.

Advanced Digital Imaging: Lip Sync

Lip Sync assignment for Advanced Digital Imaging, we had to take a clip from a movie or any clip we wanted to use. I decided to use a classic line from one of the greatest 80’s movies of all times. Theres a bit of a goof up on the lip syncing at one point but I liked how this came out overall.

History of Animation: Animated Short

This was the short animation I did for the final project for History of Animation my 3rd term. It’s a parody of Gumby, it would have turned out better if I had had adequate lighting but I didn’t have anything to work with really and the wire skeletons I built for the clay figures didn’t work out as well as I had hoped but it still makes me laugh. It’s a pointless little animation and I really did it just for cheap laughs.

I’d also like to state.. working with a large number of raster images in Adobe Flash CS4 is by far the worst thing I’ve experienced with the program since it can’t really handle raster images so it’d crash a lot. Can’t say I’m gonna be doing too much of that in the future.
